"Speak to Me" Series
An ongoing series of drawings which often use text appropriated from song lyrics, integrated with fragments of the urban Los Angeles landscape - power lines, streetlights, palm trees, telephone poles, street signs. In these works I am investigating the fragmented nature of contemporary life, how we communicate (or not) with each other, along with an elegiac expression of our environment that encourages separation and isolation.
